On September 11, 2001,
an American Airlines Boeing 767 loaded with 20,000 gallons of jet fuel crashed
into the north tower of the World Trade Center in New York City. The impact
instantly killed hundreds of people and trapping hundreds more in higher
floors. Then, 18 minutes after the first plane hit, a second Boeing 767
appeared out of the sky and sliced into the south tower near the 60th floor.
The collision caused a massive explosion and overall 3,000 people died that
day.
The attackers were
Islamic terrorists from Saudi Arabia and several other Arab nations. Reportedly
financed by Saudi fugitive Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaeda terrorist organization,
they were allegedly acting in retaliation for America’s support of Israel and
its continued military presence in the Middle East. But theorists believe a
more sinister tactic was at play. This event initially defined Bush’s
presidency as it lead many people to join arms in the war against the Middle
East. Theories believe this gave U.S military personnel a reason to advance into
Middle Eastern territories (and occupy).
People who state it was
an inside job say the US government ‘let it happen’, without intervention.
Conspiracists generally claim that the aim was to give the Bush government an
excuse to wage war on the Islamic world. In actuality, the US governments have
shown for decades that they will intervene when and where it suits them. The
last thing they need to do to justify any foreign policy is kill 3000 of their
own citizens.
Another famous
conspiracy states that the twin towers did not collapse, but they were
demolished. Research done by over 200+ engineers and architects show that the
real reason the twin towers collapsed was structural. Most buildings have their
core structural supports at the centre. So basically, when the exterior of the
building was penetrated so devastatingly by the planes, the structure's ability
to hold itself up was threatened. So when one floor went, the combined weight
meant they all went.
